About me
Hi, I’m Valérie Jucker — the human behind the cow! I am a swiss illustrator, born 1994, living in Basel. Clearly visible I have a soft spot for cuddly, adorable, and often delightfully chubby animals.
My artist's name, Mondchueh, means "moon cow" in Swiss-German. It’s inspired by the expression "Mondkalb" (“moon calf”), which is a playful way to call someone a bit of an idiot. Since I can be a full-grown version of that, Mondchueh felt like the perfect fit!
When I’m not drawing (which doesn’t happen often), I spend most of my time with four-legged friends: whether it’s my two cats, animals I encounter in the great outdoors, or the ones I meet while gaming.
I hope my illustrations bring a smile to your face and that you always find new little details to discover. Feel free to explore my full portfolio to see more of my art!
