Markets, Conventions & Fancy Table Setups

You can regularly find me at conventions, markets, and creative events across Switzerland, especially around Basel. My biggest event of the year is usually Fantasy Basel, which I love for its colourful energy, creative costumes, and the chance to meet familiar faces again and again.

As much as I enjoy the larger events, I have a special fondness for smaller markets. There is something wonderfully cosy about them, and the atmosphere often feels like a gathering of friends who all happen to make art.

Surprisingly, my favourite part is not necessarily selling. I genuinely enjoy preparing for events: planning new displays, rearranging products, and endlessly thinking about the perfect booth setup. More often than not, I spend more time decorating my table than creating new products—which may or may not be a sensible business strategy.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone smile while walking past my booth, chuckle at one of my signs, or stop for a moment to look at the tiny details in my illustrations.

The only downside of attending art markets? I somehow return home with far more artwork from other artists than I brought with me. It remains an unsolved mystery.
